Was Elias correct in stating that the Transformers are not all that blasphemous?

According to him God created man, and man created the transformers, so the transformers are like a gift from God.....Was Elias correct in stating that the Transformers are not all that blasphemous?As funny as that scene is, I remember a lot of teenaged Xtians using exactly that kind of logic back when I was in high school.
