What is the difference between Binaltech and Alternators Transformers?

Alternators were released in North America, where the Transformers were mainly made from plastic, while Binaltech figures are the Japanese version of Alternators. Unlike Alternators, the Binaltech line features fully painted car bodies and die-cast metal parts.
