5. Green Lantern - A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe. What top 3-5 movies are you looking forward to in 2011?
A Dangerous Method. Director David Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen reunite for a third film, following the well-received A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, the latter of which garnered Mortensen an Oscar nomination. Here, Mortensen portrays Sigmund Freud, the neurologist who created psychoanalysis. Michael Fassbender co-stars as Carl Jung. Keira Knightley and Vincent Cassel round out the cast.

Jane Eyre. Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell, and Judi Dench co-star in this new version of the Charlotte Bront毛 novel, from the director of Sin Nombre. The trailer indicates this version will emphasize the Bront毛 classic's gothic elements.

Melancholia. Two estranged sisters (Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg). A planet threatening to collide with and destroy Earth. Written and directed by Lars von Trier (Dancer in the Dark, Antichrist). In other words, chances are this won't be the feel-good film of the year. It might, however, be one of its most fascinating and moving. Stellan Skarsg氓rd and his son Alexander (True Blood's Eric) co-star.

On the Road. Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries, the underrated Dark Water) is brave enough to adapt Jack Kerouac鈥檚 generation-defining American novel. Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund star as Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty, respectively. The supporting cast is enormous, including Amy Adams, Steve Buscemi, Kirsten Dunst, Terrence Howard, Viggo Mortensen, Elisabeth Moss, and Kristen Stewart.

Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy. John le Carr茅's novel, beloved for its taciturn protagonist and Cold War intrigue, becomes a film courtesy of director Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In). Gary Oldman stars as the legendary George Smiley. He is joined by Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Ciar谩n Hinds, Mark Strong, and Benedict Cumberbatch (TV's Sherlock).
