What is wrong with movie critics? who could give transformers 2 a bad review?

did they forget what ppl actually like? were they stupid when critics gave transformers 2 such a bad review?? seems like they don't like anything these days?What is wrong with movie critics? who could give transformers 2 a bad review?Critics can be very ignorant. A lot of times they need clear cut stories and (regardless of the INCREDIBLE special effects) seem unable to appreciate movies on a pure entertainment value. They break them up and examine script, acting, cinematography, etc, but forget to include plain, mindless, kick a$$ fun!

They are not being stupid. You are partly right. Transformers 2 was/is a movie that people enjoy, but it is just mindless action. Most critics I would guess review movies subjectively, with things like character development, storyline and things like that. Not on how pretty and cool a movie looks. Transformers was just that, something cool to look at, but I honestly doubt it will be remembered as one of the great classics that people still talk about like Casablanca and Schindler's List, movies that make people think and such. Unfortunately it seems that they like less and less because most movies that are coming out seem to be less and less quality, most are just going for (again) mindless action and cool special fx's instead of focusing other elements. I am not saying that every movie that comes out is like that, just seems to me that most are worried about how cool they look vs the story making sense (one common example of what many people mention about Transformers 2 is why would a robot need a walking cane, to me it honestly makes no sense).What is wrong with movie critics? who could give transformers 2 a bad review?idk, i saw it yesterday and thought it was bad a**! i never go by what others say,i always wait until i watch it and form my own opinion. sometimes i think the critics try to analyze the movies too much, and they dissect every damn detail. but how can you expect a mind blowing storyline from a movie like transformers? they should just accept it for what it is--eye candy (in megan fox cause god knows she'll never be considered a serious actress) and a lot of great explosions.
well theres a reason why they released the movie on a wednesday verses a friday...they knew ppl were going to compare the the sequel to the first movie and in some ways or just cant match up. the movie being released on a wednesday gives a chance for it to develop moolah in the box office come monday/ sunday night.What is wrong with movie critics? who could give transformers 2 a bad review?I thought it was a good movie, I give it a B-. Most people expect it to be like the original cartoon. Those people suck. I do think that they tried to push the twins on us too much and do you recall seeing Ratchet anymore than once? If they could have found a way to spread the focus to Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe a little more i think it would have gotten better reviews.What is wrong with movie critics? who could give transformers 2 a bad review?
