How are transformers used to carry electricity from the utility company to your home?

And i'm not talking about the robots, so no funny answers please. How are transformers used to carry electricity from the utility company to your home?Transformers are designed to lower voltages in electricity. electricity is produced (generated) at a power plant, hydro electric damb, windmills, or solar panels. The electricity is then sent miles across the country side. Electricity sent over long distances have to be sent using very high voltages or else, power will be lost through resistence in the wires due to the distance. In order to avoid loss, electricity has to be sent using very high voltage. Eventually once the elecrity reaches near your house, the voltage has to be reduce in order for it to be safe to use in your house. Transformers lower the voltage. How are transformers used to carry electricity from the utility company to your home?Electricity is moved long distance at voltages of 110,000 or more.

Transformers are used to convert these high voltages to lower

voltages, maybe multiple times, to supply your home with 230 voltsHow are transformers used to carry electricity from the utility company to your home?voltage from the utility company is very high, the transformers reduce the voltage so its usable in your home
