Energon. If they used it on a terminator, it would probably have another form. I remember there was a humanoid transformer toy and it transformed into another humanoid. Pretty dumb if you ask me.
I don't think they referred to it as an certain type of energy. It was Just radiation that they detected on people which was the same from the All spark cube.
